Women’s Village Saving and Loan Associations in Acaboi Village Receive Seed Capital Support
Three Women’s Village Saving and Loan Association (WSLA) groups in Acaboi village, Awoja parish, Aukot Sub County, Soroti district, have received seed capital support from the office of Soroti’s Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Ann Adeke Ebaju.

Two months ago, Hon. Adeke launched the disbursement of over 400 million UGX in seed capital to a total of 1,236 groups across 412 villages in the Soroti district.
While receiving the support, beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Hon. Adeke for her initiative in empowering women’s village saving groups.
They also appreciated the provision of tents, chairs, and free clean water for domestic use throughout the district.
Alex Omiat, the FDC Sub county chairperson for Aukot, encouraged community members to embrace saving as a strategy to eradicate poverty at the household level.
In her remarks, Hon. Ann Adeke Ebaju urged the group members to use the funds wisely by investing in ways that will multiply their resources rather than dividing the money among themselves
