The Catholic Diocese of Soroti announced that it will soon celebrate Catechists day
The Catholic Diocese of Soroti announced that it will soon celebrate the Day of Catechism, an opportunity for the faithful to honor and recognize the important role of catechists in their spiritual lives.

The celebrations will take place on two important dates: September 28, 2024 at the diocesan level and October 19, 2024 at the parish level.
According to a statement posted on the website, all Christians are encouraged to affirm that. And recognize catechists who have had a significant impact on her personal faith journey.
Catechists are often at the forefront of preparing people for the sacraments and guiding them in key aspects of Christian faith formation.
Rev. Father Daniel Olete, catechesis coordinator for the diocese, has encouraged the faithful to prepare gifts and tokens of appreciation for catechists to show their gratitude for their dedication and service.
He stressed that this is an opportunity for all Christians to come together as a community and show gratitude to those who have contributed to their spiritual growth.
He encouraged participation at both the parish and diocesan levels so that catechists throughout the diocese feel valued for their valuable work in forming the faith of their communities.
“Let us come together to express our gratitude for their dedication and service,” said Father Olete.
He also called on all parishioners to actively participate and make these celebrations a true expression of gratitude and unity within the Catholic Diocese of Soroti.
