Teso Region Lags Behind in Education Due to Parental Neglect, Says Councilor
Apeduru Sub County District Councilor and Deputy Speaker, Paul Esogu, has attributed the region’s poor education standards to the negligence of parents.
In an interview with our reporter, Esogu urged parents to change their negative attitude towards education, citing fear of not getting jobs as a major hindrance.
Esogu emphasized that while the government provides limited resources to schools, parents play a crucial role in supporting education by engaging with parents and teachers associations.
He encouraged parents to work together with educators to improve the education sector.
