Soroti Pharmaceutical Training College is mourning the loss of their 23-year-old student, Patrick Olinga, who was tragically murdered on Friday night.
Olinga was described as a good student who showed respect to everyone he encountered.
The College Director, Michael Esiru, expressed his condolences and praised Olinga for his dedication to his studies.
The Guild President, Hamis Okiror, remembered Olinga as a friendly person who will be greatly missed by the college community.
During a vigil held in honor of Olinga, Deputy Resident District Commissioner of Amudat district, Geofrey Akol Oumo, called on Soroti City authorities to improve security measures in isolated areas like Kampswahili.
He suggested installing CCTV cameras and security lights to help track down criminals and ensure the safety of residents.
The funeral of the deceased will take place at their ancestral home in Aeket village, Aeket Parish in Okungur Sub County, Kapelebyong district on Tuesday.
