Security Heightened Ahead of National Youth Day Celebration in Soroti
Security measures have been significantly intensified in preparation for Monday’s National Youth Day celebration at Soroti Core Primary Teachers’ College Asuret.
Speaking at the celebration grounds this morning, Resident District Commissioner Salim Kumakech, who also serves as the head of security in the district, confirmed that preparations are at 99% readiness.
In addition, Bob Owiny, the chairperson of publicity and councilor representing Tubur Sub-County, expressed that the celebration will provide a platform for the youth to voice their grievances.
He urged residents to adhere to security regulations to create a safe environment for everyone involved.
