RDC Eseru Paul Urges Amuria Residents to Stay Vigilant Amid Political and Festive Activities
As Amuria District prepares for a busy season marked by political activities, festivities, and several public events, the Office of the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) has called on residents to remain alert and proactive in safeguarding their communities.
In an exclusive interview with our publication, RDC Eseru Paul urged citizens to play an active role in maintaining peace and security, noting that community vigilance is crucial as the district heads into a period filled with heightened political activity and celebrations.
“We need the public’s cooperation to keep Amuria safe,” RDC Paul stated. “With political tensions rising, the festive season drawing closer, and the threat of thieves, hooligans, and other anti-social elements, everyone must stay watchful. If you notice anything suspicious, report it immediately. Security begins with each of us.”
To facilitate timely reporting, the RDC’s office has shared dedicated hotlines: 0782 332 959 (RDC), 0775 267 679 (DPC), and 0785 482 033 (DISO).
RDC Paul assured residents that the security team is fully prepared to respond swiftly to any incidents.
“Our goal is to prevent crime, protect lives and property, and ensure that all upcoming events take place peacefully. Let’s unite and keep Amuria secure,” he added.
The appeal aligns with ongoing district-wide efforts to strengthen community policing and preserve stability. Residents are encouraged to work closely with security agencies and local leaders by reporting any suspicious individuals, gatherings, or behaviors.
“Let’s stay alert and cautious during this period,” RDC Paul concluded. “By working together, we can ensure that Amuria remains peaceful, safe, and secure for everyone.”
