Police in Soroti is holding a 50 years old man identified as Ejogu Francis, suspected to have Murdered a one Ariago hildah who is 45 years of age from Onyakai cell in Amuru ward west division, soroti city.
Asp Obukulem Edison, the Police Spokesperson East Kyoga says that the incident that occurred on 9th of this month at around 6: 30 in the same area was reported by Eriu Washington, the Chairperson LC l Onyakai cell to Soroti City West Division police under the file vide CRB :122/2024.
He narrates that prior to the murder on 8th of July, 2024 the suspect and the deceased went to Arapai market for their leisure time and they came back late and the suspect asked for money to buy more alcohol, something that the victim did not agree with, leading to a scuffle that led to her death.
Obukulem states that the Scene of crime was visited by a team of police officer’s led by the District police commander Soroti city West Police Division.
He now cautions the public to desist from all forms of violence encouraging them to always report any grievances to the nearest police post.
