Minister of State for Fisheries Urges Voters to Reject Propaganda

The Minister of State for Fisheries and Member of Parliament for Serere district, Hellen Adoa, has called on voters in Serere District to reject propaganda as her campaign activities continue.
While attending a football match at Ajelel Primary School on 14th of November, Adoa urged residents to unite for a better Serere and warned against falling for false information that could hinder the district’s development.
She emphasized the importance of collective effort and development, highlighting the need for men to be actively involved in community initiatives. Adoa also assured that her office will support groups formed by men to access service aid once she returns to Parliament.

Joseph Okurut, head of football in Serere, who is using local matches to foster youth unity and mindset change, praised Adoa’s initiatives. He noted that her schemes have enabled previously marginalized youth to benefit significantly.

Okurut revealed that several football teams participating in the matches have received start-up capital to invest in activities such as animal rearing, helping them prepare for a brighter future.

The youth expressed their excitement, noting that for the first time, they have been recognized and given opportunities to engage in productive pursuits. They commended Adoa for supporting the football activities that have brought the community together.
