Local Leader Calls for Improved Oversight of Road Construction
Richard Okalebo Imalingat, the area councilor of Olupe village in Kumi Sub County, has lamented the lack of regular monitoring by district officials on the construction of roads in the area.
According to Okalebo, this has resulted in substandard road construction and poor maintenance.
Okalebo emphasized that close monitoring by both political and technical officials is crucial in ensuring that roads are constructed to high standards, benefiting the local community.
He urged the works department in the district to take their responsibilities seriously and always do their work substantively.
