"Jose Chameleone Reflects on Early Career and Friendship with Bebe Cool"
Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone recently reflected on his early career and friendship with fellow artist Bebe Cool.

Both artists were key figures in the Ugandan music scene, with Bebe Cool initially venturing to Nairobi, Kenya, in pursuit of better opportunities.
Chameleone, inspired by Bebe Cool’s success, followed him to Nairobi, where he faced challenges due to limited contacts but eventually reunited with Bebe Cool, who helped him navigate the Kenyan music industry.
Chameleone’s time in Kenya allowed him to master the Swahili language, a skill he attributes to his connections with local artists, particularly Redsan.
This linguistic ability contributed to his rise in the East African music scene. Although their friendship later experienced tension, both artists made significant contributions to the region’s music industry.
