As the national examination for the Uganda National Certificate of Education approaches, Jeressar High School is showering its candidates with blessings and support to ensure their success.
In an interview with Kyoga Veritas Radio, headteacher Bertha Asekenye expressed strong confidence in the students’ prospects. She highlighted that the school’s prayers have played a significant role in alleviating feelings of nervousness, fear, and self-doubt among the candidates, helping them to feel spiritually and mentally prepared for the exams.
Asekenye encouraged students to focus on strengthening their self-belief, reassuring them that they have the capability to excel in their examinations. She emphasized that confidence is key, and that with dedication and the right mindset, the students can achieve great results.
Candidates interviewed by our reporter echoed this sentiment, sharing their readiness for the upcoming national examination. Many expressed that they feel no fear as the exam date approaches, attributing their confidence to the thorough preparation provided by their teachers. “We have learned so much this year, and I feel well-prepared. My teachers have given us all the tools we need to succeed,” said one candidate.
The supportive atmosphere at Jeressar High School is palpable, with many students participating in group study sessions and prayer meetings to reinforce their determination. Asekenye noted that this sense of community and encouragement has further fortified the candidates’ spirits.
Reverend Moses Eliabu, secretary to the board of Jeressar High School, also spoke about the importance of prayer in the lives of the candidates. He stated that prayer is essential during this critical period, serving as a source of strength and reassurance. “It is our belief that divine guidance will lead these students to success,” he said.
