The launch signals his commitment to seeking re-election and continuing his development agenda for the region.
During the event, Gen. Odongo presented a four-point program designed to elevate household welfare and foster unity within the community.
The plan emphasizes the restoration of security and national unity, transforming household incomes via large-scale agriculture and value addition, improving the road network, and upgrading health services.
A notable feature of his manifesto is the reintroduction of his motorcycle empowerment program, which offers youth an affordable opportunity to acquire motorcycles.
Beneficiaries can purchase bikes by paying UGX 50,000 monthly after a three-month grace period, aimed at boosting youth employment and mobility.
Gen. Odongo also highlighted ongoing efforts and future plans in education, including the installation of solar lights in schools, the provision of computers to Orungo Seed, Kochocwa Secondary School, and Morungatuny Seed School, as well as the purchase of a printer to facilitate exam preparations.
In the health sector, he pledged to upgrade Orungo Health Centre III to a Health Centre IV, construct a ward block, and establish incinerators for medical waste management across all Health Centre IIIs, aiming to improve healthcare access and quality in the region.
The minister stressed the importance of peace and unity, urging residents to set aside divisions stemming from the NRM primaries to foster community cohesion.
He also promised to protect church and community lands, responding to concerns raised by Catholic Church leaders in Akeriau Sub-county.
Concluding his address, Gen. Odongo reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring peace, stability, and prosperity in Orungo County.
He expressed his intent to seek a last term in office come 2026, with a focus on delivering tangible development benefits to his constituents.
