Entebbe Municipality: Fabrice Rulinda Clinches NRM Mayoral Flag in Landslide Victory

Entebbe, Uganda | July 24, 2025 — Fabrice Rulinda has been declared the official National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for the Entebbe Municipality mayoral race after a commanding victory in the party primaries.

Rulinda secured a landslide 4,758 votes, easily outpacing his closest rival, Micheal Mutebi Kabwama, who garnered 1,755 votes. Habib Kashiringi trailed with just 66 votes.

The overwhelming win reinforces Rulinda’s strong political footing in Entebbe and sets him up as the frontrunner ahead of the 2026 general elections.

In his post-election remarks, Rulinda expressed gratitude to NRM supporters and pledged to continue his vision of modernizing Entebbe.

“I’m deeply honored by the trust shown to me. Together, we will build an even greater Entebbe — one that prioritizes infrastructure, youth empowerment, and inclusive development,” he stated.

The NRM Electoral Commission praised the election process for being smooth and peaceful, citing high voter turnout and orderly conduct across polling centers.

As the race for Entebbe’s mayoral seat intensifies, all eyes now turn to the general elections, where Rulinda will face contenders from other political parties in what is expected to be a high-stakes municipal battle.
