Echodu in Kapelebyong Ahead of President Museveni’s Rally in Teso

Kapelebyong, Uganda – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice Chairperson for Eastern Region, Hon. David Calvin Echodu, is in Kapelebyong District overseeing final preparations for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s highly anticipated rally in the Teso Sub-region, scheduled for Thursday, 30th October 2025.

 

Hon. Echodu’s visit aims to assess the progress of logistical and mobilization efforts to ensure a smooth and successful presidential event. The rally is expected to attract thousands of supporters from across the Teso sub-region, highlighting the government’s achievements and ongoing development programs in the area.

 

According to organizers, the event will also provide a platform for President Museveni to interact with local leaders, address key developmental priorities, and reaffirm the NRM’s commitment to improving livelihoods in Eastern Uganda.

Echodu, who also serves as the NRM flag bearer for Soroti City West, emphasized the importance of coordination and discipline among party structures ahead of the rally.

 

“We are here to make sure everything is in place to receive the President. This rally is not just a political event — it’s an opportunity to showcase what the NRM government has delivered for the people of Teso,” he stated.

 

 

The President’s visit comes at a time when the region has witnessed significant infrastructure and social service improvements, including road construction, education initiatives, and agricultural support programs.

 

Security and mobilization teams in Kapelebyong have assured residents of adequate arrangements to ensure order and safety during the event.
