CPA Develops Plan For Accountants’ Community Outreach
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has developed a strategic plan to ensure that accountants play transformational roles in the communities.
During the opening of the 12th Certified Public Accountants economic forum at Entebbe on Wednesday, Josephine Okui Ossiya the president of the Institute of Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) part of the strategy is to have regional networks.
She said the regional networks will serve as one of the avenues to impact the communities through the development of professional accountancy schools. Accountants are also expected to participate in issues that affect the communities to cause transformation.
Ossiya accountants are on an intentional drive to address issues of affordable electricity, education, and corruption among others that affect productivity in the country.
