The Christians at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Aukot sub county Soroti district are seeking for shillings 100 million for the initial construction stage of the church that was razed down by the wind
Emmanuel Agetu the chairperson of the church revealed that the construction of the church was already underway and it had taken Shs.35million before wind razed it down on a bad rainy day.
He says that this is a challenge, since they have to start the construction afresh, hailing the support given to them Richard Elimu the former aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) for Gweri County.
However, Charles Omieno the councilor representing Aukot parish in Aukot Sub County says that Christians should channel their efforts towards the construction of the church.
Richard Elimu the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Flag bearer and formers MP aspirant Gweri County also agrees with the idea of uniting for a common goal.
