Budaka Police investigates alleged murder of a UPDF soldier
Police in Budaka district is investigating the circumstances under which a UPDF soldier was killed in Bubera village, Bulogi parish in Katira Sub County.
The deceased attached to first division Kachiri in Wakiso district has been identified as a 24 years old Ali Baguma and a resident of the same village.
It is alleged that the deceased and his friend Siraj Mudo were riding a motorcycle home at night, but after reaching Kadatune swamp, they were intercepted by four men armed with sharp objects.
According to a report, Mudo managed to escape to alert the police leaving the soldier behind.
Samuel Semewo, the Bukedi North Regional Police Spokesperson confirmed this incident saying that Baguma’s body was later and it’s believed that the suspects took the motorcycle.
