Breaking News: Red eye cases soar kumi District

The cases of red eye infections have soared up in Kumi district with 113 cases registered by the district health department.

John Adaye Kamiri, the kumi district health educator expressed concern over the prevalence rate of red eye cases in the district

 

He worries that most of these cases have not been brought to the attention of the health authorities, but victims are managing them in the communities, adding that the disease has spread all over the district with either one or two people in the household getting infected.

 

Kamiri called upon residents in kumi to ensure personal hygiene through frequent washing of the hands with soap, use of sanitizers and avoiding of handshake.

 

In a letter addressed to the district task force from the kumi Chief Administration Officer Adong Roseline Ruhoni 113 cases of red eye emerged from kumi prison.
