BREAKING: Former Uganda Ambassador to Egypt, Amb. Angualia Louis Richard, Dies in Motorcycle Crash
Arua City – Tragedy has struck the West Nile region this evening as former Uganda Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Angualia Louis Richard, was confirmed dead following a fatal road accident.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025, near Abi Farm, located in Ayivu East Constituency, Arua City. According to preliminary reports, Amb. Angualia was involved in a head-on collision with another motorcycle rider while he was traveling on a Bajaj motorcycle. The impact of the crash proved fatal for the former diplomat, marking a sorrowful end to a public figure known for his political ambition and service to the nation.
Ambassador Angualia had a notable history in Uganda’s diplomatic and political scenes. He served as Uganda’s Ambassador to Egypt, representing the country in key international engagements. His political journey also saw him vie for elective positions in his home region. In 2011 and 2016, he contested for the Maracha Constituency Member of Parliament seat but was unsuccessful.
