Born Again Ministries, Community Leaders Join Forces to Clean Soroti City Ahead of Crusade

Pastors from Born Again Ministries, in collaboration with Light to the Nation Ministries and city leaders, have embarked on a city-wide cleanliness drive in Soroti. The exercise started at Arrow Square, continued through Juakali, and extended up to Moruapesur.
Dr. Ian Tumusime from Rwanda, and the Africa Director of Light to the Nation Ministries, explained that such activities are a core part of their ministry’s mission to demonstrate to the community that maintaining personal and public hygiene is a shared responsibility.
He emphasized that faithful individuals should contribute to creating a clean and healthy society.
“Keeping the environment clean is what keeps this man, but we want to receive the salvation and the spirit residing in the body when we are very healthy, we want to do winning of the lost in a large campaign of the crusade like this one, then winning the body of Christ and care for the poor”
Dr. Tumusime notes that they will be surprising the needy during the crusade organized by A Light to the Nation from 9th October to 12 October 2025 at Sports grounds, with gifts ranging from electronics like fridge, smart phones and Television sets, to animals like cows and goats as well as beddings like mattresses.
According to the leader of Africa A Light to the Nation, this will be in accordance to prayers as they draw twin tickets and whoever picks the same ticket from the crowed will the chosen one for the free gift.

Pastor Steven Othieno, Chairperson of the Soroti Pastors and Elders Fellowship; James Israel Tukei of Light Resurrection Ministries, Overseer of NFBABC in Teso and Karamoja as well as Bishop Sam Eibu Okiru, Chairperson of the Light of the Nation Crusade, all stated that the cleanup is in preparation for the upcoming crusade as they advocate for healthy Christians living in a healthy environment.
John Michael Okurut, the Soroti Resident Commissioner (RCC), commended the initiative and announced that the local authorities will continue efforts to maintain cleanliness in Soroti, aiming to restore the city to its former glory.
