Soroti City, Uganda – A somber mood engulfed the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Soroti City-East as the body of Apio Joan Faith, a six-year-old pupil of Jozan Nursery and Primary School, was brought in for her final farewell. Family, friends, teachers, and community members gathered in sorrow to pay their last respects to the young girl whose life was tragically cut short.

Apio, described as a bright and cheerful child, had touched many hearts during her short time at Jozan Nursery and Primary School. Her teachers spoke fondly of her, remembering her as a hardworking and kind-hearted pupil who brought joy to her classmates.

Mourners filled the church, with many unable to hold back tears as the casket was carried in. Religious leaders led prayers, calling for comfort and strength for the grieving family. The emotional ceremony included eulogies from relatives, school representatives, and friends, all expressing their deep sorrow and sense of loss.
