Aspirant Hon. Anyimo Harriet Strengthens Campaign in Dakabela County with a Message of Hope and Service

By Mr Odeke

SOROTI DISTRICT, UGANDA — The campaign for the Dakabela County Parliamentary seat has intensified as aspirant Hon. Anyimo Harriet continues to win the hearts of voters with her message of transformation, service, and accountability.

During her recent rallies in Arapai Sub-county, large crowds turned up to listen to her plans for the region, reflecting a growing desire for change among residents. The people raised pressing concerns about poor roads, limited access to clean water, inadequate health services, and declining education standards.

In response, Hon. Anyimo assured the people of her commitment to addressing these challenges through inclusive and people-centered leadership. “The people of Dakabela deserve leaders who care, listen, and take action. My focus is to restore trust and ensure that every government program benefits the common person,” she said.

Her campaign platform rests on three major pillars: Education, Health, and Infrastructure. Under education, she plans to advocate for better learning facilities, motivate teachers, and introduce scholarship programs for underprivileged learners. On health, she emphasized the need to equip every parish with functional health centers, reliable medical supplies, and qualified staff. In infrastructure, she promised to lobby for improved road networks, market spaces, and rural electrification to stimulate local trade and development.

Anyimo’s approach has been praised for being grassroots-oriented, engaging directly with communities instead of relying on big rallies. She often begins her meetings with prayer and open dialogue, allowing residents to freely express their needs. “We are tired of leaders who only appear during campaigns. Madam Anyimo listens and walks with us — that’s the leader we need,” said Peter Edeu, a youth representative from Arapai.

Her emphasis on women’s empowerment and youth employment has also gained traction. She believes that empowering women economically and giving the youth practical skills is key to reducing poverty and dependency in the area.

Political observers note that her growing popularity could reshape the political landscape in Dakabela County, which has long been dominated by a few established figures. Her campaign is drawing significant attention for its integrity, humility, and focus on development rather than personal gain.

“Our campaign is not about politics as usual,” Anyimo declared. “It’s about building a Dakabela where every child can go to school, every mother can access healthcare, and every family can live with dignity.”

With the 2026 general elections approaching, Hon. Anyimo Harriet’s message of hope and service continues to inspire optimism among Dakabela residents eager for meaningful change
